We are all about the surf, however there’s loads more to this sweet slice of coastline than just surfing. During our surf holidays you’re free to surf as much or as little as you like giving you the opportunity to soak up some of the local culture - be that from grabbing an avocado smoothie to taking a full-day hike!

Here’s a roundup of our 10 favorite things to do in the area when taking some time off from the surf!

1. enjoy a BEACHSIDE STROLL TO TAGHAZOUT

One of our favourite things to do when not surfing is to take a slow stroll along the beach to Taghazout. It’s about an hour’s walk and at the end, you are rewarded with plenty of sweet oceanside cafes to grab a smoothie and shops for exploring! If you don’t fancy the walk back, it’s quick and easy to take a short bus or taxi ride back to Tamraght.

2. Treat yourself to a massage, or, hammam, or both!

Indulge in an hour-long massage giving your body some serious relaxation time, as well as some gentle relief for your surf muscles. A traditional hammam experience is one of our top local recommendations, entering a steam room your body is cleansed from head to toe. These two together are our ultimate treat!

The Agadir souk is a large and lively hub for locals and tourists alike - a great place to spend an afternoon. Test your bargaining skills and pick up some truly unique gifts whilst exploring the wide range of traditional crafts, spices, and foods!

9. Chill out by the pool

Indulge in a hotel day pass - taking time out to lounge by the pool, soak up some rays, and even enjoy a cold beer! There are a few hotels in the local area that offer this service, our favourite is the Hyatt Place, Taghazout Bay nestled up on the mountain with panoramic views of the ocean.

10. End the day with sunset at the beach

There’s no better way to end the day than watching the sunset light up the sky over down by the ocean – expect a big, colourful light show as the sun sets into the ocean. We like to enjoy them whilst sipping on a freshly brewed Moroccan mint tea!
