SURFING WITH SHAKA SURF MOROCCO

Morocco is famed for its consistent year-round swell, epic waves, and friendly surf culture which is why we believe it’s a must-visit destination for any surfer. At Shaka Surf Morocco our small, experienced, and local team is on hand to make sure you get the most from your time in the water. We check the tides and the spots to find the best location for the day. Be prepared to surf the tides, we believe it’s this flexibility that distinguishes us from others offering sunrise and sunset sessions aligned with the surf conditions and also normally guaranteeing emptier or empty lineup. Expect no day to be the same. Our goal is to provide you with the best surf experience.

Surf Equipment

All of our wetsuits are full-length and 3/2 mm in thickness. We have a wide range of sizes available including kids’ wetsuits. We invest in new wetsuits each season to keep the quality high for our surfers.

We have a range of soft boards available ranging from 8ft - 9ft in length and these are used as a standard for our beginner surfers. For our intermediate and advanced surfers, our hardboard quiver includes a variety of board sizes and brands, from shortboards to longboards.

Surf Seasons

Morocco has waves all year round and typically the most consistent months for larger swells are between September and April, with a peak period within this from December to March. The summer months between May and August see much smaller swells however a handful of great surf spots always have some fun waves for first-time and beginner surfers.

Beginner: learning to surf in morocco is possible all year round due to the range of surf spots and some great sheltered beach breaks.

Intermediate: for intermediate surfers who want to improve their skills in the green waves and are looking for a consistent medium to larger size waves we would recommend a trip between September - May.

Advanced: advanced surfers, confident with firing point breaks and chasing more powerful swells we would recommend a trip between December - March.
